About Us

Glory Days Farm was founded in 2011, by Ila Lemonis, fulfilling her life-long dream of owning her own horse farm. What began in northern Illinois with just 20 acres, relocated and expanded to 183 acres in Lexington, KY, in hopes of providing a better life for Ila’s retired horses. With every horse that Ila acquired came a promise of a forever home, full of love, impeccable care and open fields to live our their retired days. After Ila’s untimely passing in 2023, her daughters, Lindsay and Kimberly, decided to open the gates to Glory Days and share the equine sanctuary and dream of their mother, with those desiring the same high standards of retirement for their equine family. Under the watchful eye of Rush Weeden, a professional in the horse industry for more than 45 years, horses enjoy the peaceful pasture setting, receiving the love and care they deserve.  Ila’s legacy continues to live on through each happy horse at Glory Days Farm.
